The whole purpose of starting HEAD DOWN!! Golf, was to honor a man that taught a lot of us the importance of a good golf swing, keeping your eye on the ball, and having fun doing it. Dave was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2024. We wanted to find a way to give back to the research and treatment community. However, shortly after launching HEAD DOWN!! L.L.C. and trying to decide where to give back, we quickly learned that there is a lot of red tape in non-profits and a lot of that money donated barely sees any research efforts. We decided the only way we could full proof where all the donations and tournament moneys were allocated, was to form our own non-profit. Thus, the HEAD UP!! Foundation was born. All sponsorship moneys are now safeguarded from the worries of being passed around or plain out vanishing through other organizations. We want all of your kindness and support to go directly into labs and direct research operations for lung cancer research.
